Brothers, as the senior pastor of Big Bethel AME Church—the first Black church established in Atlanta—it is my honor to invite all members of Eta Lambda, to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the March on Washington, for a special #SocialJusticeSunday, on August 24, 2025, at our 10am worship experience.

As part of our August 24th commemoration, in honoring the work of our dearly departed Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the support given him by Alpha Phi Alpha, Big Bethel will present the Eta Lambda Chapter with an award of excellence, for serving as ongoing champions of social justice.

Proceeds will support our ongoing efforts to provide scholarships to deserving high school students in the Metro Atlanta area. Since 1985, the AAEF has awarded over $300,000 to students to pursue their college degrees.

This event offers Atlanta-area Scouts an extraordinary opportunity to advance their Scouting journey, particularly in their pursuit of the prestigious Eagle Scout rank. Focused on empowering scouts, developing leaders, and changing lives, the Spring AMBU prioritizes Eagle-required merit badges with a strong emphasis on leadership, scholarship, and service in underserved communities.
